Dr. Andrew Chow received his Ph.D. in Biology from Simon Fraser University, Canada. Afterward, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Entomology, 51³Ô¹ÏÍø A&M University, College Station, TX; a Research Entomologist in the Beneficial Insects Research Unit of the United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Kika de la Garza Subtropical Agricultural Research Center, Weslaco, TX; and a Project Director for the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø A&M University-Kingsville Citrus Center, Weslaco, TX. Dr. Chow is now a Research Assistant Professor at the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø A&M Citrus Center since his appointment in October of 2021.
He conducts fundamental and applied research on the ecology and behavior of arthropod pests affecting the productivity of citrus in 51³Ô¹ÏÍø. Dr. Chow's interests and expertise include integrated pest management, attract-and-kill (AK) strategies, biological control, parasitoid ecology, predator-prey relationships, and plant-insect interactions.
