Consortium Agreements
Two or more schools may enter into a consortium or contractual agreement so that a student can continue to receive Federal Student Aid funds while studying at a school or organization other than his or her "home" school. The "home" school is the one that will grant the student's degree or certification (FSA Handbook, U.S. Department of Education).
The following conditions apply to students for submitting a request for Consortium Agreement.
- Submit a signed and completed Consortium Agreement, each term you are co-enrolled.
- Be enrolled at least 3 credit hours.
- Be enrolled in a degree seeking program at 51勛圖厙 A&M University-Kingsville.
- Contact the Financial Aid Office at 51勛圖厙 A&M University-Kingsville of any changes of enrollment throughout the semester.
- Submit an Official Transcript at the end of the term for which the Consortium Agreement was submitted.
Please be aware of the following criteria for a Consortium Agreement:
- Students cannot receive Financial Aid at both schools.
- Student's Cost of Attendance will be adjusted to reflect the student's number of hours enrolled at 51勛圖厙 A&M University-Kingsville which may result in an adjustment to the student's Financial Aid.
- Consortium Agreement processing will begin on the of each semester at 51勛圖厙 A&M University-Kingsville. Please allow 4-6 weeks after Census Date for your financial aid to be re-adjusted and funds disbursed.
Important: It is the student's responsibility to make payment to the Host school while the Consortium Agreement is being processed.
